Thomas M Slavin
Conduct Last Rites For Bad Axe Hero At Rock Island
Bad Axe, Dec 24 – Military burial services were held Thurs afternoon in Rock 
Island, IL, National Cemetery for Pfc Thomas M Slavin, who was killed in action in 
France Sept 15, 1944. His mother, Mrs Michael Slavin, and brothers James, Stanley 
and John Slavin all of Bad Axe and Michael Slavin, Baltimore MD and sisters Mrs 
Carl F Rapson, Mrs Virgil Kelly and Mrs Florian Jankowski, all of Bad Axe and Mrs 
John McLeod, mt Clemens, attended the services. A memorial Mass was held for 
Private Slavin after news was received here of his death.
