She was born in Detroit on December 12, 1922. On December 31, 1941, she married Theodore Sliz. Betty was a devoted Jehovah's Witness for over 70 years. She taught piano to many students and was "Nanu" to more people than just her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Teddy Jeanne Cresmen and Marji Kay Pomranky; grandchildren, Wendy (Brian) Ellison, Michele (Greg) Cresmen-Block, Travis (Kathy) Pomranky, Andrea Lindstrom, and Tedd (Marsha) Cresmen, Andrew Pomranky and Stacey (Marlon) Walker; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Sliz.
