George Stanley Smaglinski
April 23, 1905 - April 27, 1993
PORT HURON - George S. Smaglinski, 88, formerly of Marydale Center, died 
Tuesday, April 27, 1993, in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac.  He was 
born April 23, 1905, in Huron County, and had been an area resident since 
1947.  Mr. Smaglinski was a commercial painter-carpenter in construction and 
had worked for Helen David at the Brass Rail for 22 years.  He is survived 
by four daughters, Nellie Melms of Riverview, Sally. Cooper of Auburn Hills, 
Ruth Walenski of Oxford, and Rosalie Busch of Russellville, Indiana; two 
sons, Vincent Smaglinski of Auburn Hills and Robert Smaglinski of 
California; 15 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and a dear friend, 
Helen David of Port Huron.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Adeline 
Smaglinski.  Services are 1 p.m. Friday in the Karrer-Simpson-Crawford 
Funeral Home.  The Rev. Frederick Bodde will officiate.  Visiting is 12:30 
to 1 p.m. Friday.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Thursday
