G. Weckle, pastor, and Rev Mr. Cook, pastor of Colwood Evangelical United Brethern ch. Mrs. Smith was struck and killed by a bolt of lightning July 14 while riding on a tractor with her husband on the Thomas Smith farm, 1/2 mile S. of Colwood. Her husband was also injured by not seriously. Mrs. Smith was taken immediately by her husband to the office of Dr H. L. Nigg in Caro where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
