Vincent Sofka
July 18, 1874 - January 16, 1960
UBLY - Vincent Sofka, 85, retired farmer, died today in his home in Ubly after a 
long illness.  Born July 18, 1874, in Minden Township, Sanilac County, Mr. Sofka 
lived since 1925 In Ubly.  He and Agnes Klama were married in 1925 and came to 
Ubly to live.  Mrs. Sofka died July 4, 1950.  Mr. Sofka is survived by sister, 
Mrs. Susan (Peter) Lemanski, Ubly, and a brother, Martin Sofka, Zephyr Hills, 
Florida, and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic 
church by Rev. Stanley A. Kilar.  Burial is set tentatively for St. Joseph's 
Cemetery at Rapson. The remains are in Zinger funeral home, Ubly, where Father 
Kilar will recite the Rosary at p.m. Sunday.  Published Port Huron Times Herald 
Saturday January 6, 1960.
