Anna (Grzybowski) Sofka
July 26, 1891 - January 27, 1978
Anna Sofka, 86, Ubly, died Friday in the home of her son, Henry Sofka, Sheridan 
Township, Huron County, of an apparent heart attack.  Mrs. Sofka was born July 
26, 1891, in Bingham Township, Huron County, and lived in Ubly since 1961.  She 
and her husband farmed before retiring in 1956.  She was a member of the 
Confraternity of Christian Mothers of both St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly, and 
of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Sheridan Township.   She married Martin 
Sofka October 25, 1910, in Parisville.  He died September 17. 1960. 

Mrs Sofka is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Adrianna (Lawrence) Wasierski, 
Bad Axe, and Mrs. Marcella (Tony) Cieslinski and Mrs. Bertha Sweeney, both of 
Ubly; a son, Henry Sofka, Bad Axe; a sister, Mrs. Michael Michalski, Ruth; 19 
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church.  The Rev. Carl 
Moyers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Cnlumbkille Cemetery, Sheridan 
Township.  Visiting hours at the Zinger Funeral Home will be after 2 p.m. today.  
Rosarys will be recited at 8 p.m. today by the Christian Mothers and at 8 p.m. 
Monday by Rev. Stanley Kilar, both in the funeral home.  Published Times Herald
