Stacer June 8, 1934 – July 3, 2017 Leonard J. Stacer Leonard J. Stacer, 83, of Beaverton died Monday, July 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a lengthy and courageous battle with multiple illnesses. He was born June 8, 1934 to the late Robert and Cecilia (Guitar) Stacer in Sherman Township and was raised and educated in Harbor Beach. After high school Len served with the U.S. Army. In February, 1966 he married the former Pearl Seidl in Detroit. After 43 years of marriage she predeceased him in 2009. Len was blessed to find love again when he became reacquainted with the former Saundra McNeil and they married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lapeer on November 6, 2010. Len was a working owner of E & L Hoist for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and boating. Len was an extremely talented, meticulous woodworker and made several gifts for family and friends. He was a kind generous spirited man whose mission in life was to help others. He and Sandy loved travelling, spending time in Florida, visiting with family and friends and "just being together" watching the birds. Len is survived by his sons Brad Stacer of Livonia; David Stacer of New Jersey, Craig Stacer of Livonia; daughter Rhonda Stacer of Livonia; grandchildren Jacob and Zachery. He is also survived by Sandy's children Ann Marie McKellips of Lake Orion; Cindy (Bill) Adams of Rochester; Paula (Doug) Robinson of North Branch, Christina Reuther of North Branch; -11- grandchildren; -18- great grandchildren; brothers Raymond (Betty) Stacer of Texas; James (Dolores) Stacer of Harbor Beach, Kenneth (Lois) Stacer of Florida; sisters Arlene (George) Booms of Minden City and Sandra (John) Fligger of Filion. The family would like to thank the staff of DeVita Dialysis, Dr. Phillip Kadaj, Dr. Abdele Kahn and MidMichigan Hospice for the outstanding care that was given to Len. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 9:00 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church-Sanford with Father Andrew Booms officiating. The Rite of Committal will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Rochester with military rites under the auspices of the US. Army Honor Guard. Visitation will be at the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home on Friday from 2-8 pm where a Christian Vigil service will be conducted at 7:00 pm.
