Charles Stanke
Bad Axe, April 9 – Charles Stanke, 68, WW I veteran died Fri in Veterans Hospital 
in Grand Rapids after a long illness. He was a patient three years in the 
hospital. Mr Stanke was employed many years by the City of Bad Axe and was also a 
fireman many years. He is survived by a brother, Albert Stanke, Bad Axe. Remains 
are in Collon-Colgan funeral home where funeral services will be conducted at 2 
p.m. Mon by Rev Karl H Trautman, pastor of Our Savior Luth ch. Military burial 
rites will be held in Verona Cemetery
