Born October 3, 1871 in Paris township, he was a lifelong resident. He was the last member of St. Cecilia's band, which played for civic events and parades more than a half century ago. Mr. Suida, who never married, is survived by a brother, Adam Suida, Munger, near Bay City. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic church in Parisville. Rev. Ignatius Woloszyk will officiate, Burial will be in the church cemetery. Remains are in Zinger funeral home, Ubly, where Father Woloszyk will conduct Rosary devotions at 8 p.m. Friday. Published Port Huron Times Herald Thursday April 14, 1955. Additional Comments: Norma’s Notes: Frank was born to Frank and Julie (Sofka) Suida. His obituary states his birth date was October 3, 1871. The problem with this date, is that there is a Frank Suida born October 10, 1871 to Paul and Julie (Sofka) Suida, but I believe this birth date was actually his older brother (also named Frank) who died October 9, 1874. Frank was born in May 1877 according to the 1900 census. Based on the different ages given in the various census records I don't believe that he ever truly knew his birth date.
