Martha Eleanor (Leppek) Susalla
June 18, 1918 - November 29, 1997
Martha Eleanor Susalla, age 79, of Ubly died Saturday morning, November 29 1997 
at St. Luke's Hospital of Saginaw after a short illness.  She was born June 18, 
1918 in Parisville, daughter of the late Albert and Stella (Warchuck) Leppek.  
She married William Susalla on January 19, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of 
Parisville.  He preceded her in death on December 24, 1989.  She was a graduate 
of the Sigel #6 Country School.  She worked with her family in Bad Axe.  She 
moved to Detroit in 1941 with her husband and lived in the Detroit Poletown area 
and Warren until 1981 when they returned to live in Ubly.  She has been a 
parishioner of St. John Parish of Ubly since 1981 and a member of the Christian 
mothers of St. John's Circle #2, St. Monica.
She is survived by three brothers: Sylvester (Mary) Leppek of Cass City, Henry 
Leppek of Ubly, and Raymond (Betty) Leppek of Ubly; and by many nieces and 
nephews. 

Funeral services were held on Tuesday December 2, 1997 at 10:00 am at St. John's 
Catholic Church of Ubly.  Rev. Randy Kelley pastor officiated with burial in St. 
Mary's Cemetery of Parisville.  Arrangements were handled by the Zinger-
Smigielski Funeral Home of Ubly.  Published Harbor Beach Times Thursday December 
4, 1997.
