Lydia Schairer was born April 5, 1855 in Huron Co, near Sebewaing. There she was married to Herman Pohlman Oct. 21, 1880 and the couple moved to Saginaw. Mr. Pohlman died in 1892 and in 1906 she was married to Mr. Small, who died two years later. Mrs Small was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church and its Ladies Aid society. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Fred Gash of Wellston O., and Mrs. Fink; a brother, Othnar Schairer of Sebewaing; a sister, Mrs. Albert Bauer of Unionville, three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren)
