Mr. Talaski was born Dec 18, 1930 in Bad Axe, son of the late William and Cecelia Andrewski-Talaski. He and Miss Eleanor Hiller were married July 1, 1950 at St Joseph Romand Catholic Church in Rapson. As a young boy Mr. Talaski attended the Rapson Rural Country School. He was a parishioner at St Joseph Romand Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1546 of Bad Axe and of Bishiop Babcock Assembly 4th degree. He was employed by Cooke Construction Co. for 20 years in Warren. He and his wife owned and operated the Talaski A.F.C. Home in Rapson. His special interests and hobbies included hunting, fishing playing cards, building bird houses, and visiting with family and friends and most of all his granchildren. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; three daughters, Linda (Dennis) Janowiak of Ubly, Laurn (Ron)Osantoski of Bad Axe, Lisa (Scott) Ostrander of San Diego, Calif; four sons, Dale (Karen) Talaski of Sebewaing, Daniel (Colleen) of Rapson, Domonick (Karen) Talaski of Rapson and Donald Talaski of Rapson; 18 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Archie Talaski of Rapson and Elmer (Dorlene) Talaski of Rapson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son; Gary Talaski and a brother, Zigmund Talaski. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered 11 a.m. Monday at St Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. The Rev John Weis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake scripture will be offered at 8 p.m. Sunday followed by a rosary offered by the Knights of Columbus Council #1546 of Bad Axe at the MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe. Friends and neighbors may call 1-9 p.m. Saturday, 1-9 p.m. Sunday and 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lou Gehrigs Disease, the American Cancer Society, or in the form of donor's choice. Additional Comments: Noted: Omitted from the Obituary Notice herein was a deceased son named Michael. Uncle Alvin did not have a deceased son by the name of Michael however his brother, Zigmund Talaski had two deceased sons, one being Michael.
