 Dorlene C Talaski (1932-2009)
 Dorlene Clara Talaski, 76 Rapson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, g-
grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, Mar 17, 2009 at her home, while under 
hospice care with her family by her side. She was born on Sep 10, 1932 in 
Harbor Beach, daughter of the late Peter and Anastasia Peyerk-Goniwicha. 
 She was united in marriage to Elmer T Talaski, Aug 8, 1953 in St Joseph Roman 
Catholic Church, Rapson.  
 She enjoyed her yearly trips with the girls, playing cards, listening to 
the "Polka Party" on radio, baking, dancing and spending time with her friends 
and family. 
 She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Elmer Talaski, Rapson; three sons, 
Roger (Deb) Talaski, Rick (Linda) Talaski, Ron (Brenda) Talaski, all of Bad 
Axe,; four daughters, Lori (Tony) Dubs of Kinde, Lynn (Dennis) Engelhardt of 
Lake Orion, Lana (Jim) Lopiccola of Sterling Heights and Lois Talaski of Bad 
Axe and a special friend, Bill Basner of Rapson; 17 grandchildren; 21 g-
grandchildren; three sisters, Ilene Thrushman, Shirley Young and Sandy 
Goniwicha and three brothers; Leonard, Jerry and Peter Goniwicha.  She was 
preceded in death by a son, Roy Talaski; grandson, Bradley Dubs; her twin 
sister, Doris Gwisdalla and a brother, Leo Goniwicha.
 Services were held on Saturday, Mar 21, 2009 at St Joseph Catholic Church in 
Rapson.  Fr. Rob Howe, pastor, officiated, with burial taking place in the 
church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Kaufman Funeral Home, Bad 
Axe.
