Tenbusch, 89, of Ruth died Saturday, August 5, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center Cooper, Saginaw, after a short illness. He was born November 25, 1910, in Huron County, son of the late Frances (Clor) and John Tenbusch. He married Anne Schmitz on November 27, 1940, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. He was a graduate of Pumpkin Center School. He was employed by Michigan Sugar Co. for 29 years. He participated in local government by serving on the Delaware Township Board of Review, Property Zoning Commission and Planning Board. Bert, in his younger days, spent five seasons sailing the Great Lakes and shared many fond memories of those bygone years. He was a lifelong parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Parish, where he served as a member of the Parish Council and was a former Knights of Columbus member. He was an avid reader and ambitious farmer all his life. He enjoyed playing cards and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Albert was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Anne; five daughters, Diane Godi and her husband, Frank, of Frankenmuth, Judy Matuszewski and her husband, Arthur, of Frankenmuth, Alicia Mazure and her husband, Richard, of Ubly, Peggy Randall and her husband, Harold, of Caro and Sally Bellsky and her husband, Chuck, of Frankenmuth; two sons, Joseph Tenbusch of Hale and James Tenbusch and his wife, Gretchen, of Bad Axe; 20 grandchildren, Mary Birks, Christopher Godi, Michael and Cheryl Matuszewski, Karen Weber, Kevin and Paul Mazure, Becky Goodheart, Jason, Cavitt, Matthew and Jordan Randall, David, Thomas and Jennifer Bellsky, Joseph and Jeffrey Tenbusch, and Keith, Gregory and Chad Tenbusch; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Edward Tenbusch; and one sister-in-law, Bea Tenbusch. He was preceded in death by one brother, Alphonse Sr.; and two sisters, Loretta Braun and Hyacinth Sadro. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2000, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth. The Rev. Steve Gavit, pastor, and the Rev. Ronald Wagner will both officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A parish wake service will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Zinger- Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Visitation will be 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight, from 1 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to SS. Peter and Paul School in Ruth for Masses or to the charity of the donor's choice.
