Edward J. Tenbusch
December 9, 1911 – February 16, 2016
Mr. Edward J. Tenbusch, 104, of Harper Woods, passed away Sunday in his sleep 
at home.  Edward was born on December 9th, 1911 in Minden City to the late John 
and Frances (Clor) Tenbusch.  He married Mildred Howard on June 18th, 1934 at 
First Presbyterian Church in Deckerville.  She preceded him in death on April 
20, 1993.

Edward graduated from the Pumpkin Center School and completed his high school 
education later while employed at Ford Motor Company.  Edward began his career 
at the Hudson Motor Car Company at age 15 in Detroit; he then went aboard ship 
sailing the Great Lakes on a freighter.  Edward later worked at Beul Aircraft, 
was self-employed, and closed out his career at Ford Motor Company retiring in 
1978.  Edward was a devoted husband travelling the world with a wife he 
adored.  He was an avid woodworker, gardener and proud supporter of the Fine 
Arts.  Edward was very proud of his farmboy heritage and strove to show what 
a "hayseed" could accomplish.

Edward is survived by many nieces and nephews.  Edward was preceded in death by 
his wife, Mildred, of over 58 years; three brothers, Alphonse Sr., Albert, and 
John B. Tenbusch; and two sisters, Loretta Braun and Hyacinth Sadro.

Visitation will be held at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe at 10am on 
Wednesday with funeral services to follow at noon.
Edward lived a full and happy life doing the things he loved; memorials may be 
made to the charity of your choice.  Published The Detroit News February 17,
