Hazel K. (Pohl) Tenbusch
April 16, 1908 – March 9, 1968
Mrs. Hazel Tenbusch, 60, wife of Frank Tenbusch, died Friday night in the 
Harbor Beach Community Hospital after a long illness.   Daughter of Mrs. Mary 
Pohl, Harbor Beach, and the late Anthony Polh, Mrs. Tenbusch was born April 16, 
1908, at Harbor Beach.  She and the late George Gerstenschlager were married in 
1927.   After his death, she and Mr. Tenbusch were married in 1950.
   
Hazel Tenbusch is survived by her husband, George(sic); her mother, Mrs. Mary 
Pohl; a brother Lawrence Pohl, Warren; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Siemen and 
Mrs. Lawrence Schroeder, both of Harbor Beach; four stepdaughters, Marion 
Tenbusch, Bad Axe; Mrs. Beatrice Rambo, Montgomery, Alabama; Mrs. Lois Weiss, 
Harbor Beach; Mrs. Frances Rubery, Savanah, Georgia; two stepsons, Arthur 
Tenbusch, Lexington and Melvin Tenbusch, Norfolk, West Virginia. 
   
The remains were in the Burton E. Ramsey Funeral Home.  The Rosary was recited 
Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m. by Father C. N. McEachin.  Funeral Services were 
conducted on Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church by Fr. 
McEachin. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery at Helena.

Norma’s Notes: Hazel married George Edward Gerstenschlager (1900-1950) on 
September 22, 1926 in Harbor Beach.  After George’s death she married Frank 
Tenbusch on August 12, 1950 in Harbor Beach.
