Geraldine M. (Terbrack) Tenbusch June 17, 1929 – February 12, 2021 Geraldine (Geri) Tenbusch went to the Lord, February 12, 2021 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab, of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital, where she received excellent care. Geri was born on June 17, 1929 in Detroit. She graduated valedictorian from Our Lady of Lake Huron High School, and attended the Port Huron Business School and Baker College. Geri was a lifelong resident of Ruth. She married Alphonse Tenbusch, Jr. on August 27, 1949 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. They had five children: Robert (Suzy) Tenbusch of Ruth, Lauretta (Dale) Allen of Mt. Morris, Mark (Connie) Tenbusch of Harbor Beach, Lea (Mark) Gourlay of North Street, and Thomas (Betty) Tenbusch of Harbor Beach. Geri retired from Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab, but also worked for many years as secretary for Wilfred Schumaker Insurance. Geri also worked for Dr. Teves in his office conducting various tasks. She worked in various positions for Sts. Peter and Paul School. She was very active in the catholic church which included President of the Saints Peter and Paul Christian Mothers for 3 terms, Treasurer for 1 term, East Regional Christian Mothers President for 2 terms, and President for the Saginaw Diocese League of Catholic Women. Geraldine held various positions with the parish on planning and executing the Mama Ruth Ham and Chicken Dinner. Geri also served on the Board at the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. In addition, she served as Eucharistic Minister and Lectern at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Ruth. Along with her children and their spouses, Geri is survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, sister: Sue LaBeau, brothers and sisters-in-law: Loraine McCoy, Jerry (Jo) Tenbusch, Frank (Carol) Malloy, Don (Annie) Tenbusch, Mike Peruski, Butch (Fay) Tenbusch, Carol Tenbusch, and Karen (Dennis) Gentner. Geri is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Geri was preceded in death by her husband Alphonse, of more than 51 years, her parents Anthony and Loretta Terbrack, his parents: Alphonse and Beatrice Tenbusch, special tribute to Estella Coyne and Emmit Shine, siblings: Joe Shine, Tom (Betty) Shine, Mary Ann (Tom) Ahearn, Bryan (Gloria) Shine, brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank McCoy, Joan Malloy, Marlene Peruski and Richard Tenbusch. Funeral Mass for Geri will be Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish, Ruth, with Fr. Matthew Federico officiating. Burial in SSPP Church Cemetery will take place in the spring. Visitation for Geri will be on Monday, from 3-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Tuesday will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Rosary by the Christian Mothers will be held at 7 pm, Monday at the funeral home.
