The death of Anton Terbrack, 75 last Wednesday, removed from the community one of our first and best pioneer citizens and a man who in former years was active in several different township offices. Justice of the Peace, treasure, and supervisor for about twelve years. Besides being a diligent worker of his farm southeast of Ruth. Mr. Terbrack was born November 28th, 1858 in Middleburg, Ohio. On December 31st, 1877, he was united in marriage to Miss Adelaide Koenders in Saint Mary's church, Rockport, Ohio. Two years later they moved to Michigan and purchased a farm southeast of Ruth where he made his home until his death. Deceased was of good health and always busy with his daily tasks until July 1932, when he suffered a stroke, which left him an invalid and confined to his home. Funeral services were held from Ss. Peter and Paul church on Saturday. Rev. Frank Kulfman officiated with burial in the church cemetery". Among the survivors were 38 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a brother Henry of Cleveland, and a sister, Sister Fabian of the Franciscan Order Tiffin, Ohio.
