March 23, 1958 - February 15, 2007
THIEL, Susan L. - Of Grand Blanc, age 48, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 
Toledo Hospital in Ohio.  Visitation 3PM Monday February 19, 2007, at the Swartz 
Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.  A Celebration of her Life will be held at 
7PM, Monday evening at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue following the 
service. Reverend Father Roy Horning officiating.  Burial in St. Joseph Catholic 
Cemetery in Rapson, Michigan.  In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to 
The Michigan Gift of Life, 2203 Platt Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. 

Susan was born in Bad Axe, Michigan on March 23, 1958 the daughter of Leo and 
Eleanor Thiel.  She was a graduate from Bad Axe High School class of 1976 and 
continued her education at Mott Community College where she received her LPN and 
RN.  Susan was completing work on her BSN at the University of Michigan in 
Flint.  She loved working in various aspects of the nursing profession.  Sue was 
a Red Wing's fanatic-"My Stevie" has lost his biggest fan.  Susan was infamous 
for her monthly "newsy" letters with coordinating confetti. 

Surviving are brothers, Richard of Flint, John (Robin) of Grand Rapids, Dale 
(Kim) of Mendon, Ron of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters, Rosanne Thiel and fiancé 
Jerry Coates of Traverse City, Ellen (Kim) Hartman of Croswell, Janice (Jack) 
Massimino of Otter Lake; niece, Christa Thiel; nephews, Brian (Katrina), 
Michael, Todd and Ryan Thiel, Scott, Brent, Mark Hartman, J.L. (Amber) and 
Vinnie Massimino  Published Flint Journal from February 17 to 18, 2007.
