He was born March 26, 1975 in Pigeon, son of the late James Trepkowski and Patricia (Sweeney) Trepkowski. He married Kylie Friend on August 2, 1997 in Montpelier, Ohio. Tom graduated from Bad Axe High School in 1993 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Alma College in 1997. He was employed as a wholesaler for Columbia Management. He loved spending time with family and friends, playing golf, hunting, going to the casino and playing hockey on Sunday nights. He was a member and lector at St. John's Catholic Church in Hartland. Tom enjoyed life and will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife Kylie, he is survived by one son, Collin; his mother, Patricia; brother, Ken (Judy) of Brunswick, Ohio, sister-in-law, Mary Lou of Sterling Heights; brother, Ron (Kathy) of Essexville; sister; Diane (Randy) McFarland of Cass City; father and mother-in-law Tim and LuAnn Friend; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law Brent (Kim) Friend and Todd (Stephanie) Friend, all of Montpelier, Ohio; several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and special friends, Adam and Sandra, Manoj and Robin, and Chad and Mary Ann. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael; sister, Donna; grandparents, Walter and Minnie Trepkowski and Malcolm and Mary Sweeney. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe and from 10 a.m. until the service Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association.
