Age 77 years. The son of the late Peter and Ann (Graj) Trepkowski, Arvin was born on August 10, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. Arvin served in the United States Army from 1958-1960. Arvin married Nadine Jane Jerry in April of 1961. She predeceased him on February 20, 1985. He then married Gloria J. Temple on September 3, 1998. She survives. Arvin was employed as a machine repairman for 33 years at General Motors Plant #2. After retirement he worked for Bay Tech in Auburn. He belonged to American Legion Post #439 and was a former Honor Guard Member. He also belonged to V.F.W. Post #1566, NRA, and the Eagles Club #1010 in Bay City. He enjoyed wood working and sports. Arvin built the home he lives in and loved to spend time in the bar in his basement. Surviving besides his wife Gloria, are a son and a daughter, Michael Trepkowski, Lutsen, MN; Debra (Ronald) McNally, Merrill; three step-children, Cindy Hildebrandt, Saginaw; Gary Temple II, Sault Ste. Marie; Brian Temple, St. Louis, Michigan; nine step-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph Trepkowski, Gilbert Trepkowski and Frank Tremont; sister-in-law, Pauline Trepkowski; two brothers-in-law, George Rood , Texas; Vernon Rood, Saginaw; sister-in-law, Colette Budd, Saginaw; mother-in-law, Lillian Rood, Midland. Arvin was preceded in death by two infant children, Cheryl and Jeffery; two sisters, Delores Brzeczkiewicz and Marian Nowak; one brother, Art Trepkowski. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Rites rendered by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Legion Post #439 or the wishes of the family.
