Julius Trepkowski
February 22, 1903 – December 14, 1990
Julius Trepkowski, 87, Ubly, died Friday, December 14, 1990 at Huron Memorial 
Hospital, Bad Axe, after a short illness.  He was born February 22, 1903 in 
Paris Township, son of the late Joseph and Otilla (Gwisdalla) Trepkowski.  He 
married Clara Grifka, October 21, 1929 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 
Parisville.  Mr. Trepkowski attended rural school and worked at Murray Body, 
Detroit, as a metal finisher.  In 1938, he moved to Paris Township where he 
farmed until 1976 when he moved to Ubly.  He was a lifelong member and a former 
usher at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parisville, and a member of Ubly and 
Parisville Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife Clara, Ubly; one son, Robert (Patricia) Trepkowski, 
Sandusky; two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Patricia) Balogh, Dearborn Heights, and Mrs. 
Mevlin (Joyce) Cook, Midland; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 
two brothers, Ira Trepkowski, Ubly and Joseph Trepkowski, Minden City; and 
three sisters, Laura Alent, Ubly, Blanche Makowski, Parisville, and Mrs. 
Marshall (Bertha) Swartz, Minden City.  Preceding him in death were two 
brothers, Leo Trepkowski and Walter Trepkowski; and three sisters, Clara Cook, 
Margaret Klebba and Martha Jaroch.

Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Rev. Ronald 
Dombrowski, pastor, and the Rev. John Gentner, pastor at Blessed Sacrament 
Parish, Midland, officiated.  Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Arrangements 
were directed through the Zinger-Smigielski  Funeral Home, Ubly.  Published
