Walter Trepkowski
August 31, 1900 - July 18, 1983
Walter Trepkowski, 82, of Bad Axe died Monday at St. Joseph's-Hospital, 
Flint, after a short illness.  He was born August 31, 1900 in Paris 
Township, son of the late Joseph and Ottilia (Gwisdalla) Trepkowski.  Walter 
Trepkowski and Miss Minnie Jaskowski were married on May 12. 1925 in St. 
Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville.  He was a resident of the Huron County 
area all his life where he farmed for 50 years, retiring in 1974.  He was a 
parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rapson for 32 years.  He was a 
member of the church’s Holy Name Society. 

Surviving are his wife, Minnie; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Betty) Cornett, 
Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Holz, Mrs. Wilburt (Mary Ann) Brown, all of Bad Axe and 
Mrs. Gerlad (Nancy) Smith of Bay City; two sons, James Trepkowski of Bad Axe 
and Deward Trepkowski of Allen Park; 20 grandchildren; 9 great 
grandchildren; four sisters, Lora Alent, Ubly, Mrs. Edward (Blanche) 
Makowskl, Ruth, Mrs. Marshall (Bertha) Swartz, Minden City, Mrs. John 
(Margaret) Klebba, Cass City; three brothers, Julius Trepkoski, Ira 
Trepkoski both of Ubly and Joseph Treposki, Ruth.  One brother, Leo 
Trepkowski and two sisters. Clara Cook and Martha Jaroch proceeded him in 
death. 

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 
Rapson, Rev. Stephen Sramek O.S.B. pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be 
in the church cemetery.  A joint rosary was offered Wednesday at 8 p.m. by 
Fr. Sramek and the members of the Holy Name Society at the Zinger-Smigielski 
Funeral Home of Ubly. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 p m.
