He was born August 1, 1910 in Parisville, son of the late Joseph and Otilla (Gwisdalla) Trepkoski. He married Minnie Grifka on November 22, 1936 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Parisville. She preceded him in death on April 27, 1991. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School. He farmed in Parisville until he moved to Detroit in 1934. In 1946 he returned to Sanilac County to farm. He became a licensed electrician and worked construction for various contractors until retiring in 1978. e moved to Ubly in 1970. He was a member of the Proctor School Board, a member and officer of the Ubly Senior Citizens, a parishioner St. John’s for forty years, a Bell Toller at St. John’s for many years and an avid card player. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 58. He was a Third Degree Life Member of the Bad Axe Knights of Columbus Council 1546, an Honorary Fourth Degree Member of Bishop Babcock General Assembly, and a member of the Fourth Degree Color Corps. Surviving are two daughters, Janice Erdman and her husband, Robert, of Minden City and Sharlyn Weber and her husband, Joel, of Ruth; seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren; one brother, Joseph Trepkoski of Minden City; two sisters, Laura Alent of Bad Axe and Bertha Swartz of Minden City. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Trepkoski on August 7, 1983; three brothers, Leo, Walter and Julius; four sisters, Clara Cook, Margaret Klebba, Martha Jaroch and Blanche Makowski. Funeral services were Wednesday at St. John’s, Ubly. Rev. John Mullet, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
