Alice M. Vahovick, 88, lifelong resident of Bad Axe passed away Saturday, Oct. 
2, 2010 at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.

She was born Sept. 26, 1922 in Port Austin to the late Walter and Mary 
(Horetski) Murawski.

Alice was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. She enjoyed 
gardening, canning, sewing and knitting. She was employed at the Port Austin 
Level Factory for ten years.

She is survived by three sons, James (Arlene) Vahovick, Kevin (Kim) Vahovick, 
and John Vahovick; one grandchild, James (Patricia) Vahovick II, and two great-
grandchildren, Zachary and Daniel Vahovick.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Cichowlas, Vera Kubacki, 
Angeline Duda, and Elizabeth Kanaski; one brother, Albin Murawski.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church, Bad Axe with Fr. Rob Howe, Pastor officiating. Burial 
will be in Colfax Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel, Bad 
Axe with scripture services at 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. until time of service on 
Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be offered to the family discretionary fund.
