VanDalen,age 95, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Homewood Village. Vincent who was the fourth of six children, was born February 1, 1917, in Flint, the son of Bert and Anna (Clor) VanDalen. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and loved hunting and fishing. Vincent served his country during World War II, in the Army in Northern Europe, and saw action during the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from Buick Motor Division as an Inspector in 1980. He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Foster; several nieces and nephews; and best friends, Jerry and Shirley Burton. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and their spouses. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Blanc, with visitation at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Prayer Center, G-2381 E. Carpenter Rd., Flint, MI 48505. Share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com.
