Paul Albert (Bert) Van Dalen
September 23, 1878 – July 27, 1949
Bert Van Dalen Ruth -  July 28 - Bert Van Dalen, a former Ruth resident, who had 
worked some 40 years in automobile plants in Flint, died Wednesdav in Flint at 
the age of 70.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Saints Peter 
and Paul Catholic church in Ruth.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Mr. 
Van Dalen moved to Ruth at the age of six and resided there 25 years.  Surviving 
are his widow, Anna; three sons, three daughters, an aunt, Kate Schoch, Ruth, 
two brothers and three sisters.  He was married to the former Anna Clor, of 
Minden, October 19, 1909.  Published Port Huron Times Herald Friday August 27, 
1949.

Notes:  Born September 23, 1878 in Rockport Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio to 
Paul & Mary (Koenders) Van Dalen.  Died July 26, 1949 in Flint, Michigan.  Married 
Anna Clor in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, Michigan.
