Veronica "Verna" (Kalka) Visga
February 3, 1885 - October 26, 1970
Mrs. Stephen T. Visga Mrs. Verna D. Visga, 85, of 20119 Woodburn, 
Southfield, Michigan, a resident of Marysville from 1929 to 1967, died 
Monday in the home of her son, Edmund Murawski. Born February 3, 1885, in 
Kawkawlin, Michigan, she attended schools in Bay City.  Her husband, Stephen 
T. Visga, died April 30, 1963. 
She is survived by her son; two daughters, Mrs. Theresa L. Kanaski, Port 
Huron, and Mrs. Isabelle Buckholtz, Bad Axe; two brothers, Emil Kalka, Port 
Hope, and Walter Kalka, Harbor Beach; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Leppeck, Bad 
Axe; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The remains are in 
Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.  Arrangements are incomplete.  Published 
Tuesday October 27, 1970

Funeral services for Mrs. Verna D. Visga, 85, of 20119 Woodburn, Southfield, 
Michigan, a resident of Marysville from 1929 to 1967, who died Monday in the 
home of her son, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's 
Catholic Church, Marysville.  Rev. Joseph P. McElgunn, pastor, will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.  Remains are in Karrer-
Simpson Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.  
She was the widow of Stephen T. Visga.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, 
Michigan) Wednesday October 28, 1970.
