Sylvester R. Visga
December 2, 1906 - December 6, 1975
ST. CLAIR - Sylvester R. Visga, 69 of 410 South Allen Road, St. Clair 
Township, died Saturday in River District Hospial after a long illness.  He 
was born February 2, 1906, in Parisville.  He lived here since 1932.  Mr. 
Visga attended schools in Huron County.  He was a retired employee of 
Prestolite Division of Eltra Corporation, where he worked 35 years.  He was 
a charter member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Marysville, and a 
former usher and member of the Holy Name Society of the church.  Mr. Visga's 
wife, Elizabeth M. Visga, died Jul 16, 1963.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Eugene S. (Bernice) Melczarzyk, 
Richmond, Mrs. Robert J.  (Irene) Curtis, St. Clair, and Mrs. James A. 
(Leona) Rosbury, Marysville; two sons, Leo J. Visga, Port Huron, and James 
L. Visga, St. Clair Township; two brothers, John Visga, Port Huron, and 
Edward Visga, Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Anna Weiss, Port Huron, 14 
grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  

The remains will be in Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home Monday after 4 p.m.  A 
rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. in the funeral home.  Services 
will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church with Rev. Joseph P. 
McElgunn, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, 
Marysville.  Daniel W. Thomas, Roger J. St. Gelais, Eugene S. and Dennis 
Melczarczyk, David Moran and Robert Loxton will be pallbearers.  Published
