Carol A. (Roberts) Volmering
May 28, 1948 – September 7, 2007
Carol A. Volmering, 59, of Ruth passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 at Port 
Huron Hospital.  Carol was born on May 28, 1948 in Sandusky to Florence A. 
Roberts and the late Bernard Roberts.  She married Raymond Volmering on August 
3, 1968 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Palms.  Carol was a graduate of 
Deckerville High School.  She was a parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic 
Church where she was a member of Christian Mothers.  Carol worked with Dian 
Volmering Catering for over 20 years.  She worked at the Cass City Stockyard 
for 10 years.  Carol was a 4-H leader for 10 years for the Handi Craftsmen 4-H 
Club.  She enjoyed reading books, playing cards, gardening and bird watching.  
Carol loved spending time with her family, being a loving wife, mother and 
grandmother.

Carol is survived by her husband of 39 years, Raymond, of Ruth; four children, 
Joseph Volmering and his wife, Katie, of Harbor Beach, Laurie Malone and her 
husband, Matthew, of Walled Lake, Tammy Klosowski and her husband, Richard, of 
Bay City, Thomas Volmering and his special friend, Torri, and her son, Cameron, 
of Ruth; two grandchildren, Alexander Krueger and Liam Malone; her mother, 
Florence Roberts of Ruth; her brothers and sisters, Kenneth Roberts and his 
wife, Lauretta, of Minden City, Barbara Sweeney and her husband, Gerald, of 
Ubly, Dale Roberts and his wife, Brenda, of Phoenix, Arizona, Douglas and his 
wife, DeDe, of Elburn, Illinois, Delores Kramer and her husband, Richard, of 
Parma, Janice Bolton and her husband, Chris, of Shelby Township, Patrick 
Roberts and his wife, Elizabeth, of Roswell, Georgia, Mary Roberts of Ubly; 
brother and sisters-in-law, Eugene Volmering and his wife, Dian, of Harbor 
Beach, Jerome Volmering and his wife, Eileen, of Harbor Beach, Lorraine Peruski 
and her husband, Stanley, of Ubly, Doris Ann Roberts and her husband, Bernard, 
of Harbor Beach. Carol was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel; and her 
father and mother-in-law, William and Anna Volmering.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Ss. Peter and 
Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. The Rev. Robert Pare, pastor, will officiate. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:30 to 9 p.m. 
on Tuesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral 
Home in Ubly. There will be a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and a 
Christian Mothers rosary at 7:30 p.m. Both services will be at the funeral 
home.  Memorials are requested to the Kidney Foundation, American Heart 
Association or the Harbor Beach Community Hospital.  Published in Huron Daily
