Anastasia (Stazy) (Alent) Warchock
October 16, 1890 – December 23, 1945
Harbor Beach, Dec. 24 - Mrs. Warchock, 85, wife of Matthew Warchock, died 
unexpectedly yesterday morning of heart disease at home here.  Funeral 
services will be held at ? a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic 
church.  James J. Marvin, pastor, will officiate.  

Mrs. Warchock is survived by her husband and three daughters. Mrs. Edward 
(Mandy) Fisher and Mrs. Eugene (Lucille) Fitzgerald, both of Detroit, Mrs. 
Merrill (Dorothy) Johnson, Palms; a son, Ernest Warchock, fireman 1c, on 
leave; a grandchild; four brothers,  Xaiver Alendt, Ubly; Ed Alendt, address 
unknown; Henry Alendt, Detroit and Pfc. David Alendt, in the Army: and three 
sisters, Mrs. Louis (Theresa) Schefka, Harbor Beach; Mrs. Dominic (Agnes) 
Polk, Parisville and Miss Sophia Alendt. 

Mrs. Warchock was born October 16, in Paris Township. She lived in Harbor 
Beach the last two years.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) 
Monday December 24, 1945.

Note:  Born in Paris Township to Ignatz & Matha (Wrubel) Alent.  Married 
Matthew Warchock on May 26, 1908 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 
Parisville. The paper has incorrectly listed her brothers: Ed, Stanley, 
Henry and David and sister Sophia with the incorrect last name.  The correct 
last name is Gwisdalla. After Ignatz’s  early death at the age of 23, Martha 
Wruble married Jacob Gwisdalla.  Theresa and Agnes are also her half 
sisters, with the maiden name of Gwisdalla.  Anastasia only had one full 
brother:  Xavier.
