Leo Frank Wessel
April 9, 1923 – June 8, 1994
Leo F. Wessel, 71, died Wednesday, June 8, 1994, in his home after a long 
illness.  He was born April 9, 1923, in Port Huron, and was a lifelong area 
resident.  He married Eileen A. Essenmacher August 9, 1952, in Port Huron.  Mr. 
Wessel was employed by the C&O Railroad prior to his retirement.  He was a 
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and served with the U.S. Army during World 
War II.  

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; three sons, Dr. and Mrs. Charles (Susan) 
Wessel of Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Sandy) Wessel of Port Huron and Mr. and 
Mrs. Gregory (Anna Lisa) Wessel of White Lake; three daughters, Theresa Wessel 
of Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Chris (Susan) Streeter of Midland and Carol Wessel of 
St. Clair Shores; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Wessel of Delaware; 
sister, Dorothy Minnie of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. 
Rene Desmarais of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope 
Cemetery. Visiting is 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Friday in the 
Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic 
Church, the Newman Center or Parkinson's Disease.  Published Times Herald (Port
