Williams Elmer R. Williams, 73, of Bad Axe passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. He was born June 18, 1934 in Bloomfield Township, son of the late Ralph and Mary (Schmidt) Williams. He attended Rapson Country School, Bad Axe High School and graduated from North Huron High School. He married Eleanor Kanaby on May 7, 1955 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Palms. He farmed for 13 years, and then worked for Agrico Chemical Co. and Terra in Bad Axe. He was a member of the Rapson Sportsmen's Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Bad Axe Senior Citizens. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards and being with his grandchildren. Survived by his wife, Eleanor Williams of Bad Axe; two daughters, Diane Hamm of Ira and Janice (Mike) Pulaskey of Filion; one son, Paul Williams of Colorado; four grandchildren, Jacob and Jodie Hamm, Nicholas Pulaskey and Alaina Williams; and three sisters, Mildred Steciak of Bad Axe, Eleanor Bambach of Bad Axe and Irene (Arnold) Stirrett of Sterling Heights. Preceded in death by one son, Roger Williams; and one brother, Alvin Williams. Service was conducted Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rapson. Officiating was Fr. James Carlson, pastor. Burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements conducted by Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe. Published in the Huron Daily Tribune from 12/10/2007 - 12/11/2007.
