Tumbles to His Death

Ubly, July 22 -- Jerry Joseph Wojciechowski, 5 yr old son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley 
Wojciechowski, also known as Murphy, drowned Monday afternoon in the swollen 
headwaters of the Cass river when he fell off the Union Street bridge near Ubly 
High School.  A tragic circumstance is that usually at this time of the year the 
stream has only about two feet of water, but recent heavy rains increased the 
depth to about seven feet.
