Melvin Harry Wojtalewicz
February 23, 1940 – November 19, 2007
Melvin H. Wojtalewicz, 67, of Ortonville and formerly of Ubly, died Monday 
November 19, 2007 in the comfort of his home from Melanoma under the care of 
hospice.  Beloved husband for over 41 years of Kathryn.  Loving father of 
Jeffrey M. (Susan) of Macomb Twp., Rodney D. of Otisville, Matthew D. of 
Ortonville and Stacey A. of Clarkston.  Dear brother of Phyllis R. Winczner of 
St. Clair Shores, Jacob (Francis), Warren, Robert (Jeanne) Wojtalewicz of 
Saginaw and Vern (Betsey) White of Lapeer.  Brother-in-law of Donald Hund of 
Waterford, Richard and Theresa Hund of Clarkston, Raymond and Lilah Hund of 
Texas, Dorothy Hund/Gary Susalla of Cass City, Marilyn and Thomas Osentoski of 
Davison, Janice and Robert Neeb of Bad Axe and Denise and Daniel Kubacki of 
Ubly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his 
parents; Jacob and Albina (Osentoski) Wojtalewicz and parents-in-laws; John and 
Lorraine Hund.  

He was employed by Pontiac Motor for over 40 years and is a member of the 
Knights of Columbus, Ortonville Council and a member of St. Anne Parish in 
Ortonville where he was an usher.  He enjoyed NASCAR, deer hunting and reading, 
but most of all he enjoyed his four children.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at 
St. Anne Parish in Ortonville.  The Rev. Fr. Ron Richards will officiate with 
interment in Ortonville Cemetery.  Mr. Wojtalewicz will lie in state from noon 
till 9 p.m. Friday with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Wilk 
Funeral Home, 135 South St. in Ortonville.  Memorial donations may be given to 
St. Anne's Care & Share Fund, envelopes available at the funeral home.
