Mary Jane Wolschlager, 75, passed away at her home  Monday, February 15, 2010 
with family by her side.  She was born March 1, 1934 in Dearborn to the late 
Arthur and Alice (Oakes) Comport.  Mary Jane was united in marriage to John 
Wolschlager in on May 13, 1978.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in 
Dearborn.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and flower 
gardening.

She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Leonard (Edna) Nowakowski 
of California, Vicky Fox of Oklahoma, Forrest Stevens, Kim (John) Fox, Jackie 
(Kevin) Cregeur and Joe (Ivy) Stevens, all of Bad Axe; 16 grandchildren, 
Steven, Randy and Christina Fox, Ryan and Ashlynne Stevens, John,  Jennifer, 
Candi, Kaitlin, and Skylynn Fox, Kyle Cregeur and Skyler, Sheldon, Austin, 
Hayden and Lincoln Stevens; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Art Comport 
of Florida; four sisters, Barb Danes of Oklahoma, Pat Woodby of Dearborn 
Heights, Alice Chase of Northville and Rose Marble of Colon.  She was preceded 
in death by a sister in-law, Mary Anne Comport and four brothers-in-law, Jim 
Danes, Ron Woodby, Rick Chase, and Dick Marble.

Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Robert Howe, officiating.  
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at MacAlpine Funeral Home in Bad 
Axe and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church.  Memorials may be 
offered to the Family Discretionary Fund or the donor’s choice.
