Charles Michael Wolschlager
February 3, 1932 – May 15, 2007
MARTINEZ, Georgia. - Mr. Charles Michael Wolschlager, age 75, of Martinez, 
entered into rest on Tuesday afternoon, May 15, 2007 at Doctors Hospital.  A 
native of Huron County, Michigan, he had resided in the Augusta area since 
November of 1985.  Mr. Wolschlager had worked for 35 years with Putnam Tool in 
Detroit as a Machinist and Foreman.  In 1985, he joined Greenfield Industries 
in Evans where he continued working as a Foreman until retiring.  An avid 
bowler, he enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and golfing at Forest Hills 
and Rocky Branch Golf Clubs.  He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic 
Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Wolschlager, who passed away in July 
of 1988; two brothers, Elmer and Maurice Wolschlager; and a sister, Grace 
Wolschlager.  He is survived by, his son, Richard C. Wolschlager (Lynn), 
Rochester Hills, Mich.; three brothers, Joe of Ubly, Mich., John of Bad Axe, 
Mich., Henry of Caseville, Mich.; three sisters, Helen McIntosh, Holt, Mich., 
Dorothy Guigar, Sterling, Heights, Mich., Irma Schroth, Warren, Mich.; a dear 
friend, Sally Vavrasek, Evans, Georgia.; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services and interment will take place in Troy, Mich. Memorials may be 
made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Building Fund, 4921 Columbia Road, 
Grovetown, Georgia 30813.  Published May 18, 2007 The Augusta Chronicle.

Norma’s Notes:  Charles was the son of Charles Anthony and Ida Theresa (Booms) 
Wolschlager.  He married Wilma Karolinski on June 23, 1956.
