He was born September 21, 1906, in Sheridan Township, where he was a lifelong resident. He married Lena Smith, June 12, 1937, in Bad Axe. Mr. Wolschlager was a retired farmer, having farmed 40 years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bad Axe. He is survived by His wife; three sons, Donald John Wolschlager, San Diego, California, and Ronald and August Wolschlager, both of Bad Axe; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Alice) Souvau, Detroit; Mrs. Phillip (Rose Ann) Webster, Otsego, and Mrs. Russell (Elizabeth) Messing, Charleston. South Carolina; a brother, Michael Wolschlager, Bad Axe; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Booms, Cleveland, Ohio, and 10 grandchildren. Services were to be held today at 11 am in Sacred Heart Church.The Rev. Raymond Oswald, pastor, was to officiate. Burial was to be in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe. It is interesting to note that the Newspaper obituary and Michigan Death Index show he died October 30, yet the Social Security records show that he died October 15th (2 weeks earlier).
