Gertrude was born on September 19, 1921, to the late Frank and Alice (Butchkowski) Mazure. She married Leonard J. Wolschleger on April 22, 1941, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church in Harbor Beach. Gertrude was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, and a member of the Blue Army. She enjoyed listening to polka music and was an excellent cook. Gertrude is survived by her five sons and six daughters, Paul Wolschleger (Diane) of Auburn, Washington, Arlene Szarapski of Cass City, Sharon McCreary (Robert) of Bay City, Dr. Joseph Wolschleger (Janice) of The Villages Florida, Robert Wolschleger (Sandy) of Big Rapids, Linda Booms (Michael) of The Villages, Florida, Donald Wolschleger (Della) of Harbor Beach, Kathy Wolschleger (Ron Genis) of Summerfield Florida, Dr. Kevin Wolschleger (Karyn) of Lowell, Anita Leese (Steve) of Leesburg Florida, Cheryl Glaza (Steve) of Washington, North Carolina; 30 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two brothers Ray Mazure, Jim (Carol) Mazure of Harbor Beach; sister Lorraine (Harry) Ganse of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and sister-in- law Virginia Mazure of Marysville, Michigan. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Leonard; one son Brian; two grandchildren Michael L. Wolschleger and Derek Verscheure; one brother Melvin Mazure; sister Rose Cooper; and son-in- law Stan Szarapski. Funeral mass for Gertrude will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. George Amos officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation for Gertrude will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church beginning at 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. A Rosary service will take place at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a Parish Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
