Jerome John Wolschleger
July 13, 1915 - February 19, 1989
Jerome J. Wolschleger, 73, Harbor Beach, died Sunday, February 19, 1989 at 
the Harbor Beach Long Term Care Facility after a long illness.  He was born 
July 13, 1915 in Sand Beach Township, son of the late Michael and Anna 
(Booms) Wolschleger.  He married Mary Hitsch June 10, 1947 in Sts. Peter and 
Paul Catholic Church, Ruth.  Mr. Wolschleger attended East Huron District 
No. 3 Country School and farmed all his life in Huron County, retiring in 
1977.  He was a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church since 
1947.  Mr. Wolschleger was a member of the Michigan Draft Horse Association 
and the National Farmers Organization. 

Surviving are his wife, Mary, Harbor Beach; eight sons, Richard Wolschleger, 
Ruth, Kenneth Wolschleger, Carsonville, Leroy Wolschleger, Minden City, 
Bernard Wolschleger, Palms, Mark Wolschleger, Raymond Wolschleger and Jerome 
Wolschleger, Jr., all of Harbor Beach, and Michael at home; seven daughters, 
Mrs. Earl (Jane) Deer, Port Hope, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Wiederhold, Elkton, 
Mrs. Ronald (Charlotte) Vogel, Palms, Mrs. Clark (Shirley) Cregeur, Harbor 
Beach, Mrs. Jerome (Marlene) Peresta, Sandusky, Mrs. Stan (Judy) Duda, 
Harbor Beach, and Mrs. James (Susan) Hessling, Lincoln; 27 grandchildren, 
four step-grandchildren; six brothers,. Edward Wolschleger, Charlevoix, and 
Leonard Wolschleger, Albert Wolschleger, Denis Wolschleger, Norman 
Wolschleger, and Benedict Wolschleger, all of Harbor Beach; and two sisters, 
Mrs. Irwin (Marie) Kubacki, Bad Axe and Mrs. Melvin (Leona) Ziskie, Utica.  
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Pauline, on August 29, 1976, and 
one brother, Vincent Wolschleger, March 9, 1980. 

Services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  
The Rev. Richard Bokinskie, pastor, officiated.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  A scripture service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the 
Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home, Ubly.  Published Minden City Herald Thursday
