John J Wrubel
Bad Axe - John Wrubel, 63, died early Thurs at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, 
after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Huron county, he was born May 14, 
1894 in Parish Twp and had lived the last 30 years in Bad Axe. He owned Bad Axe-
Port Huron bus line for 18 years and the last 7 years had been in the farm 
implement business. Surviving are his widow, Mary; 5 daughters, Mrs Leona Sayer, 
Detroit, Mrs Alice Klinefelt and Mrs Angeline Gallagher, Both of Saginaw, and 
Mrs Dorothy Carroll and Mrs Marion Frederick, both of Bad Axe; 12 grandchildren, 
4 brothers, Theodore, Carsonville, George, Harbor Beach; Sylvester, Filion and 
Leo, Detroit. And 3 sisters, Mrs Lucy Swartz and Mrs Emma Kulka both of Utica 
and Mrs Agnes Palmer, Brighton. Also surviving is his father, Paul Wrubel, 
Utica. Requiem high Mass was conducted Mon in Sacred Heart Cath ch. Burial was 
in the church cemetery.
