Mrs Edward Zinger
Ubly - Mrs Minnie Zinger, 71, wife of Edward Zinger, prominent Thumb funeral 
director, died today in Hubbard Memorial Hospital, Bad Axe. Mrs Zinger, who was 
in poor health for some time, suffered a heart attack Thurs and was taken to the 
hospital. Born April 10, 1885 in Paris Twp, Huron county, daughter of the late 
Mr & Mrs Joseph Kucharczyk, Mrs Zinger spent most of her life in Huron County. 
She and Mr Zinger were married April 13, 1904 in Detroit and lived there until 
1906 when Mr Zinger opened a general store in Parisville with his father-in-law. 
Mr & Mrs Zinger observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1954. After 4 
years, Mr Zinger became sole owner of the store and operated the business until 
1921 when he came to Ubly. He has conducted a funeral home here since. Mrs 
Zinger was a member of Confraternity of Christian mothers of St John Cath ch in 
Ubly and of Fidelis Regina circle NO 696, Daughters of Isabella. 

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs David T Susalla, Rochester, 
MI, and Mrs Louis Ianitelli, Detroit; and two sons, Elmer Zinger, Detroit and 
Ernest Zinger, Ubly, associated with his father in the funeral home. Also there 
are 25 grandchildren 6 great grand children, two brothers, Theodore Cook, Minden 
city and Cash P Cook, Bad Axe and 4 sisters, Mrs Julius Buchkowski and Mrs Alex 
Schriber, both of Saginaw and Mrs Peter Gomoluch and Mrs Alphonse Kosal, both of 
Ruth.  A son, Raymond, died June 15, 1964. Solemn Requiem high mass will be 
chanted at 9:30 a.m. Tues Mrs Zinger's 74st birthday, in St John's church by Rev 
Stanley A Kilar and other priests. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
