Frances (Grimski) Zurek
December 14, 1895 - March 11, 1973
UBLY - Mrs. Frances Zurek, 76, widow of Peter J. Zurek, died Sunday in 
Harbor Beach Community Hospital after a short illness.  She was born 
December 14, 1896, in Minden township.  She and Peter were married November 
26, 1912, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Parisville.  They farmed in Minden 
township until 1955 when they moved to Ubly.  Mr. Zurek died October 2, 
1966.  Mrs. Zurek has lived since 1971 with her daughter, Mrs. Ervin Lemke, 
Tyre. 
She is survived by six sons, Elmer Zurek, Harbor Beach; Raymond Zurek, Ubly; 
Sylvester Zurek, Rochester; Chester Zurek, Livonia, Marvin Zurek, Brighton, 
and Leo Zurek, Roseville; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Lemke, Mrs. Constance 
(Matthew) Mazure and Mrs. Clarence Labeski, all of Ubly; 34 grandchildren 
and 23 great grandchildren; a brother Clarence Grimski, Warren, and seven 
sisters, Mrs. Albert Peruski, Mrs. Martha Bezenek and Mrs. Edward Kulish, 
all of Ubly, Mrs. Evans Skoner and Mrs. Howard Pore, both of Detroit, Mrs. 
Catherine Miller, Cass City, and Mrs. Mary Karolinski, Bad Axe.  Funeral 
services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church, Ubly, 
with Rev. Bernard Skornia, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Zinger 
Funeral Home.  Published Times Herald (Port Huron, Michigan) Monday March 
12, 1973
