This photo is of [*Margaret Wahtstoroff/Carpenter 1855-1921] grave stone.  She 
was married to Peter Carpenter (Pierre Francos Charpentier) or married Peter 
in 1883 in Port Austin. She immigrated to Michigan in 1881. She left from 
Bremen, Germany.  She married Peter Carpenter after the death of his 1st wife 
Annie Halzdorf/Holstroph in 1882. There was a (Tornado) - Cyclone storm 
that "hit" the area while Annie & Peter were on their way home from town and 
the wagon & horses were overturned - severely injuring Annie and she died 
folowing day or June 22, 1882.  
Margaret & Peter Carpenter had 7 children - 
John Carpenter - 1884
Mary - 1885
Maggie - 1887
Susana - 1889
Joseph - 1891
Corianna - 1894
Lousia - 1896 

Margaret died - Oct 26, 1921  age 66 of Cerebral Apolexy  (Brain Hemorage)
