Morelle Brayton, 72, of 326 East Michigan avenue, died Wednesday morning at a local hospital. Mrs. Brayton was born in Saginaw and had lived in Lansing for the past 65 years. She was the daughter of the late Charles J. Davis who was mayor of Lansing from 1899 to 1901. She was the proprietor of the Brayton Block plant which had been owned and operated by her husband, the late C.A. Brayton. Mrs. Brayton was a member of the Michigan Wildflower association, the Michigan Horticultural society, the Lansing Branch of the Women's Farm and Garden association and the Ingham County Humane society. Surviving is a brother, Samuel H. Davis of this city. Funeral services will be held at the Estes-Leadley funeral home at a time to be announced later.
