CORA DAVIS
Mrs Cora Maude Davis, 94, of 3334 Pleasant Grove, Lansing, died October 9 
at her residence. A former Grand Ledge and Mulliken area resident, Mrs 
Davis was born December 18, 1884 in Hoytville, the daughter of Philander 
and Mary Davids. She is survived by eight daughters, Mrs Emma Compton of 
Lake Odessa, Mrs Lillie Hooghouse, Mrs Dorothy Hoisington, Mrs Erma Fox, 
and Mrs Mildred Beech, all of Grand Ledge, Mrs Flossie Backer of Phoenix 
Arizona, Mrs Laura Norris of Mason and Mrs Pauline Root of Saranac; two 
sons, Marvin and Earl of Lansing; 32 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren 
and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Services were Friday afternoon, October 
12, at the Barker-Leik Funeral Home in Mulliken, with the Rev. Chester 
Walter officiating. Interment was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
