F.J. Elliott Dies Soon After Wife

A retired building contractor died Wed.  morning of a heart attack the day after his

wife of 51 years was buried.
Fredrick J. Elliott 77, died at his home at Rolfe Rd. after calling his son for help
at 
about 9am.
Coroner Dorwin Hoffmeyer said death was due to an acute Coronary Thrombosis.
Mr. Elliott's son Fredrick who lives next door told the coroner he saw his father 
sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast just a few minutes before he was
called  
by his father to help him.
The older man fell as he was putting dishes in the sink and suffered a minor head 
cut in the fall, the coroner said. He then crawled to the telephone and called his 
son. Hoffmeyer said.
His son placed Mr Elliott in a chair where he collapsed and died,the coroner said.
Mr. Elliott's wife Thressa died last Saturday after a long illness. Funeral services

were conducted for her Tuesday. Burial was at Ferris Center.
Besides Fredrick, two other sons  Bernard of Lansing and Rev. Burdette Elliott a 
Methodist minister at Reed City and seven grandchildren survive.
The body was removed to the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral home pending 
arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Larry Elliott was called home from the Army for his Grant-mothers death and had left

to return to duty. When he was recalled by the Red Cross due to his grand-fathers 
death.
Grandchildren: All Elliott's  Larry, Burnard, Terry, Greg, Wendy, Roger , Grant ,
Marc.
