This file is located at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ingham/williamston/obituary/maudefai rbanks.txt Mrs. Maude Fairbanks Elsie Maude Hartsell, daughter of Francis and Henrietta E Hartsell, was born April 4, 1885, in Livingston county, Michigan and passed away may 18, 1945, at the Sparrow hospital in Lansing. she spent most of her early life in Livingston county, until united in marriage to George d Fairbanks march 15, 1905, in Williamston. To this union eight children were born, five dying in infancy. The oldest daughter, Lavinae, passed away may 1, 1940. Mrs. Fairbanks was converted about twenty-five years ago and joined the Wesleyan Methodist church at south Locke. She remained faithful, saying at the last, that she was in the hands of the lord. If he wanted her to go, it was all right. Although never well herself, she bore her suffering patiently and was happiest when doing for others. She is survived by the husband, George, two daughters, Mrs. Mona Dunckel of Locke and Mildred at home; two brothers Robert of Decatur, indiana and Roy of Lansing, two sisters Mrs. Estella martin and Mrs. Aliva Wolever both of Lansing; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren besides many relatives and friends.
