Lansing Street, age 76, died unexpectedly at Clinton Memorial hospital at 7 a.m. Monday, April 9. She had been in poor health for some time. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12 (today), at 11 a.m. at the Hoag Funeral HOme with the Rev. D. E. Weitz officiating. Burial will be at Freeport, Mich. LEONA S. Rose was born at Freeport on May 22, 1885, the daughter of Jacob and Matilda Childs Schmelcher. She was married to William Rose at Freeport on Aug 7, 1904 and they have lived in St. Johns since 1935. Mrs. Rose was a member of theChurch of the Nazarene. She is survived by the husband, William, three sons, Clifford of Garden City, Chester of Charlotte and Arthur of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Stewart and Miss Charlotte Rose, both of St. Johns. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
