Redmond, age 64, passed away December 31, 2000, in East Lansing, Michigan. He was born March 27, 1936, in Bay City, to Edward and Vernetta (O'Brien) Redmond. Patrick was a graduate of CMU and was a 34-year employee of the Michigan Department of Social Services in the field management area. He was a past Chairman of the Board of the Clare Osteopathic Hospital, a former member of the Clare-Gladwin Intermediate School Board and a longtime member of the Lions International. Patrick had a keen interest in wildlife and protection of the environment and was lifetime student of Native American Culture and the Civil War. He is survived by his children, Patrice Redmond of Troy, Diane (Douglas) Baumann of Rockford, Scott (Alissa Buscemi) Redmond of Schaumburg , Il.; and Todd (Andrea) Redmond of Mt. Pleasant; their mother, Lorraine Redmond; five grandchildren, Alec, Natalie, Ryan, Emily, and Brooke; two brothers, Robert (Lori) and Brian Redmond of Bay City; two sisters, Maria (Brian) Redmond Smith of East Lansing, Jeanne (Tom) DeLorge of Vass, NC; special friend Luci Stibitz; and several close friends and relative. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 4 at 11 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd. East Lansing. The Rite of Committal will be held in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-8 pm with a Scripture Service being held on Wednesday at 7 pm. t he family will also receive friends at the church on Thursday one hour prior o the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Capital Area Audubon Scoiety, 2020 E. Mt. Hope ave., Lansing, 489l0, Caring About Kids, P.O.
